 iShine Live!
iShine
LIVE! is a high-energy, Biblically-based event geared for young
teens and tweens. iShine Live! is a power-packed, high-energy, 2
hour event that brings together a DJ, dancing, music groups,
game show, lights & video, and a speaker that all together
leaves kids trusting more in God.
The tour has featured performances from groups like:
● The Rubyz and Mission Six (as heard on Radio Disney)
● Jasmine - Disney's "Next Big Thing" featured artist
● Luke Benward - star of "How to Eat Fried Worms" and Disney's
"Minute Men”
● Paige Armstrong - a young teen cancer survivor and nationally
known speaker with an encouraging message.

COUNTY-WIDE PRAYER OBSERVANCE
May 6, 2010 has been declared by the National Day of Prayer Task
Force as our nation’s 59th National Day of Prayer.
Texas
Governor Rick Perry has also issued a proclamation honoring this
day of national prayer stating, “Throughout our history,
Americans have turned to prayer and reflection during times of
strength and weakness and in moments of joy and despair, seeking
comfort, giving thanks and asking for guidance and grace. Today,
Americans continue in the tradition of our forefathers by
acknowledging the power of prayer in our lives and cherishing
our right to pray freely.”
River of Life Church is
extending a cordial invitation to the business and civic
leaders, pastors and people of Eastland County. If you believe
that prayer can really change our nation and our own lives as
well, then join with the pastors, businessmen, and citizens of
Eastland County as we pray prayers of faith for our great nation
and this community where we work and live.
The River of
Life Church at 103 Pogue Ave. in Eastland will host this event
from 12:00 Noon to 1:00pm on Thursday, May 6th. Everyone is
welcome to attend. |

Boo in the Garden 2010
The Eastland
Community Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce will host, Boo
in the Garden, on Sunday, October 31, 2010, from 5 p.m. to 6
p.m. in Grimes Garden. The Eastland Police Department will be
giving out glow sticks in the garden from 5 p.m.-6 p.m., and
after 6 p.m. they will be handing them out at the Fire
Department. If your business would like to donate or hand out
